Good Things to Come

This video goes right along with my last post. It's always good to remember that there ARE good things to come. As I'm dealing with recovery, I'm glad that my good thing has already come - my sweet little girl. She makes the pain completely worth it.

But even during those trials that don't seem to have any good in them, we can't forget that they're only temporary. I love how Elder Holland states it: "Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don’t come until heaven; but for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come."

Patience is Enduring Well

“Patience is not passive resignation, nor is it failing to act because of our fears. Patience means active waiting and enduring. It means staying with something and doing all that we can—working, hoping, and exercising faith; bearing hardship with fortitude, even when the desires of our hearts are delayed. Patience is not simply enduring; it is enduring well!”

-Dieter F. Uchtdorf, “Continue in Patience,” Ensign, May 2010, 57

This one hit pretty close to home this week for me! I found out last week that at 38 weeks, this baby inside of me decided to flip around and NOT be head-down anymore. This meant a whole slew of adventures over the past week, but it comes down to me having to have a C-section on Saturday. Talk about "bearing hardship with fortitude." That's a tough one. But hopefully, I'll be able to keep this quote and this talk in the back of my mind over the next few weeks! "Patience is not simply enduring; it is enduring well!"
