Patience is Enduring Well

“Patience is not passive resignation, nor is it failing to act because of our fears. Patience means active waiting and enduring. It means staying with something and doing all that we can—working, hoping, and exercising faith; bearing hardship with fortitude, even when the desires of our hearts are delayed. Patience is not simply enduring; it is enduring well!”

-Dieter F. Uchtdorf, “Continue in Patience,” Ensign, May 2010, 57

This one hit pretty close to home this week for me! I found out last week that at 38 weeks, this baby inside of me decided to flip around and NOT be head-down anymore. This meant a whole slew of adventures over the past week, but it comes down to me having to have a C-section on Saturday. Talk about "bearing hardship with fortitude." That's a tough one. But hopefully, I'll be able to keep this quote and this talk in the back of my mind over the next few weeks! "Patience is not simply enduring; it is enduring well!"

Good luck. You'll do great. No matter how it all happens, a lovely baby is a beautiful ending. :)

You'll do great. I loved both my C-sections! Longer recovery, but staying on top of pain meds makes it so much easier!

You will do great. I suppose that the baby could turn again. At least the C-sections for today are so much better and you heal faster. Patience is an never ending experience for us all. Thanks for the thoughts and I will be thinking about you and praying for you! Blessings and hugs to you! LeAnn
